I was losing because I didn't understand risk management and I was fighting my own emotions. The False Start In September, I built Aurum Prop Firm. Traders would pay for accounts, I'd profit when they failed challenges. Built it in less than a month. Got 40+ people interested from a $2 Instagram ad. Three days before launch, I was 85 pages into "Trading and Exchanges" by Larry Harris and I realized something: this business model might make me money, but it won't solve the actual problem. It just extracts from the same cycle of failure I experienced. So I shut it down. Messaged everyone we're taking a different path. Why ASL Exists Traders don't fail because they're stupid. And we're teaching real quantitative trading - the stuff prop firms actually use, not YouTube shortcuts. Who I Am I'm Osas. I dropped out of mechanical engineering in my 4th year during a Python backend internship. One month of learning to code, applied, got the role. Six months later I told my boss I wanted to drop out and work full-time. He said yes. I've spent the last 6+ years building production systems. Worked as a data scientist at a startup in Amsterdam. Rebuilt a financial agent at Goodfin (YC W21). I know how to build things that work at scale. But more importantly for ASL - I lived the problem.
